$50,000 are to be invested for additional warning measures for over-height vehicles which mistakenly use Goulburn's Sloane street rail underpass.

Goulburn Mulwaree council has been regularly contacted by members of the public claiming damage to their caravans or trailers due to the low clearance under the rail bridge.

This week's meeting of council was told that there are numerous advance warning signs on the approaches to the low bridge.

Director of council operations, Matt O'Rourke says a decision has been made to install measures which will allow the drivers of high vehicles to get more advance notice.
