Safety considerations have dictated that load limits have to be installed on a number of bridges in the Upper Lachlan Shire.

Council Acting General Manager, Andrew Croke says advice from consultants, Pitt and Sherry who recently made an assessment of structures, is that the temporary load limits be applied.

On the Boorowa Road the bridges over Wheeo and Gunyah Creeks have a limit of up to 26 tonnes and at Reid's Flat road over the Lachlan river, the limit is set at up to 37 tonnes.

These limits are in place until maintenance work has been carried out at the three locations with work listed as a matter of priority.
