Following protests at the Goulburn abattoir earlier this week, federal member, Angus Taylor has come out strongly denouncing the action.

The call to back the Prime Minister's move for civil action against trespassers who try to stop primary production is being supported by Mr Taylor.

He says while police handled the situation professionally, the activists should face the full force of the law.

In condemning the actions of protesters Mr Taylor says, farmers, abattoirs and rural businesses, work hard to world best practice and also have to cope with the drought.

He added that he backed the Commonwealth in supporting any farmers or businesses who are in a position to bring action against those involved.
