The first ever Flyball racing event in Goulburn will be staged by the Dog Training and Kennel Club this month.

Flyball is Australia's fastest growing dog sport and is a relay race between two teams of four racing dogs.

Each dog in turn jumps over four hurdles and triggers a mechanism which shoots out a tennis ball which the dog catches.

The racer returns over the jumps, passing the next dog at the start finish gates.

Flyball will be held at the Dog arena at the Goulburn showground on Sunday, October 15th.

Admission is free.
